Hey there.

I'm Dhaval Lad. I am a tireless seeker of knowledge, occassional purveyor of wisdom and also, coincidentally, a developer.

Working professionally as a application developer with design teams and businesses, for over 2 years. Always available to share and learn new stuff or take on challenging new projects.

I am the ideas man, coming up with the concepts, and how things should look and feel is where my passion lies. Striving to push my abilities as a developer, I love exploring new areas of the industry, expanding my skill set so that I can take on any job with a multi-disciplined approach. One of my greatest assets is taking any problem and working out the best and most effective ways to approach it. I believe this is one of the reasons I have such a diverse skill set, using different techniques to get the job done.

  • UHappening

    UHappneing provides UAlbany's students, family members, alumni, and community members access to event schedules, maps, and resources on their mobile device. This app is an event planning platform that helps people create, promote and host their events. This app shows you fun things going on nearby that aren’t necessarily “events”. With outdoor adventures, art exhibits, and bars with live music every night, UHappening is perfect for filling a boring weekend or date night.

  • UAlbany Classroom

    UAlbany free Classroom system is nevertheless a strong alternative to E-Learning system. With good UI teachers can easily upload teaching material and share assignments. Reviewers praise it for its responsive customer support and user-friendly interface, and you’ll find a whole host of innovative features, from deep learning analytics to automated communications, included in the platform. UAlbany Classroom covers the basics very well, and can be a good first step for a small, or growing school, or even an individual teacher looking to move to a paperless classroom.

  • Predicting and Evaluating the Popularity of Online News

    In this project, we intend to find the best model and set of feature to predict the popularity of online news, using machine learning techniques. We had used dataset summarizes a heterogeneous set of features about articles published by Mashable in a period of two years. We implemented 5 different learning algorithms on the dataset, ranging from various regressions to SVM and Random Forest. We constructed different models for classification and comparing performance. Our work can help online news companies to predict news popularity before publication.

  • A Framework for Imputation of Missing Values in Database

    This is framework design in JAVA to deal with missing values in a real world database. Based on a variety of statistical analysis and machine learning approach in particular decision rule algorithm this framework predict possible value and impute it into the database.

  • Distributed Execution System

    This distributed engine is a program which runs on a cluster of networked computers and presents the illusion of a single and reliable machine that provides large aggregate amount of computational and I/O performance. System, which can run predefined set of functions or algorithms via a flat file in distributed manner so that several tasks can be run in parallel and the overall job can finish faster than a serial execution. Master node will distribute the tasks among the slaves until all task is completed. Some of core features of this system are all server work in a co-operative manner, auto-load balanced servers, result is re-routing to the task originating server.
